We are all afraid of intimacy. Despite our collective fear of intimacy, we all yearn for intimate connections with others, life, and ourselves. The most primal human need to express and feel intimacy. Intimacy often comes across as a paradox, one that we as a collective of “feeling creatures” need to demystify and remove the stigma of fear. The process of embodiment is to “feel life” from inside of the body.
The outer world mirrors the inner world. Cultivating and sustaining the zenith of self-love is paramount for intimacy to be present and unwavering. Intimacy can only exist in the space of pure awareness. Intimacy experienced in the body is devoid of attachment and expectation in the mind. Love is not a relationship, but rather a state of BEing. Intimacy is more than sensual/sexual energy offered to loved ones in private. True intimacy is the action of exploring oneself before another person.
Intimacy is the process of learning ourselves on levels where we experience the most fear and shadow. Intimacy is only possible when you can drop our defenses and can be vulnerable to life, to others, and yourself. Intimacy sessions allow us to dive deep into why intimacy is an essential human need and how we can use spiritual practices like meditation and awareness to live an intimate life. Your readiness and willingness to be intimate will encourage others to be intimate with you. Together we will all dare to be brave, courageous, and supportive of each other while being vulnerable. Collectively you and I shall shed our labels and judgments to experience love, trust, and openness in our sessions. Trust is the foundation of love, and love is what we are.
